well. here it goes.
the excitement that is my life. here in a nutshell. for all who apparently want to know what I am up to.
unfortunately, I am kind of starting in the middle of the story, but moving backwards seems a little counter productive so I guess I will just have to fill in the blanks along the way.
so here it begins. It is currently snowing outside!! yay. and believe me this is an actual yay. I was fooled by a beautiful snow storm back in the first days of December that gave me the false potential for a white winter wonderland. It has basically been non-existent since that beautiful snowy week.
But much to my surprise I woke up before my alarm clock this morning to find the ground covered in a beautiful white fluff and to find out that the reason I set my alarm clock no longer existed and that if I so desired I could just go right back to sleep. That, however, also came with a bunch of bureaucratic paperwork that I somehow have to sort through. Damn paperwork. Here in Austria there is this simple sheet of paper called a Meldezettel, which is basically just you registering where you live. Small little glitch: you need your landlord to sign it. And unfortunately my landlord turned out to be one of the nutty ones who can't make up his mind, is awful at making and keeping appointments, doesn't understand how things could be wrong, and in general just misses the spot a little every time. That being said. I gave him this piece of paper in November to sign and return. It is now February. It has still not been returned, he probably has lost it, and the last time I asked about it he told me I had to sign a contract that he then later decided he didn't want to have at all followed by the desire to have it again..etc. My slight predicament is this: I need this little piece of paper to register for my job. But getting it from my landlord would literally be like finding a needle in a haystack. ugh.
either way. it is still a beautiful morning which holds the promise of a nice walk through the Stadtpark (picture above).
